Room 5 Mrs Trudy Ingoe

 Dear Parents

I hope you all had a lovely break over the Recent Holidays.

We have an exciting term planned for Room 5 and our full programme has started, the girls have settled in well and are taking everything in their stride.

During the term we will be covering

Term One

Written Language - Poetic Writing, Argument Writing.

Math - Number.

Integrated Studies - Bruce McLaren, Geography and Puberty

Reading - Our focus is the nine strategies of reading, Inference, Activating Prior Knowledge, Questioning, Summarising, Visualising, Self-Monitoring, Making Connections,Synthesising, and Predicting. Starting with Vocabularly and moving on to Prior Knowledge

Physical Education - Small Ball Skills 

We will also be experiencing an outdoor adventure, tree planting and learning how to care for our environment.

The Lizard Man visited Room Five bringing along Lizards, Stick Insects and Wetas.  Many of the children had never seen these insects up close before.
