Welcome to the new academic year. We trust that you have had an enjoyable festive break.

I am happy to state that the pupils have settled in fairly well and are familiar with  both classroom and school expectations. The key focus areas at school are reading, writing and numeracy. We would like our pupils to be the best they can be in these aspects of the curriculum. In order to achieve our goals it is important that your child comes well prepared for each school day. Please stress the importance of appropriate behaviour during lessons.

Kindly ensure that your child completes weekly homework and class tasks. We expect each child to spend at least 30 minutes reading daily. This would improve both writing and comprehension skills.We also encourage the daily revision of basic facts, tables and weekly spelling words. Homework is given on a Monday and collected on a Friday.
